Chadron State College will host the Health Professions Showcase for more than 50 students from six schools across Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming on March 25.

The event aims to introduce high school students to a range of healthcare careers through interactive activities and presentations. Organizers say the showcase is designed to help students explore different health professions and learn about educational pathways in the field.

The day will begin with an information fair and welcome session in the Student Center Ballroom. Starting at 9 a.m., participants can visit five information stations featuring hands-on learning activities related to physician assistant, physical therapy, medical nutrition, nursing, and radiology/sonography careers. Later in the day, attendees will tour the Center of Innovative Learning and attend a general presentation along with a student panel focused on choosing a health professions career and learning about the Rural Health Opportunities Program.

Dr. Ann Buchmann, professor of biological sciences at Chadron State College, said, “We are looking forward to providing a fun and educational opportunity for high school students interested in healthcare.”

More information about registration is available online.
