U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts of Nebraska has expressed his support for a Continuing Resolution aimed at funding the federal government until March 14 and extending the Farm Bill by an additional year. This decision was made to prevent a government shutdown and provide necessary support to Nebraska’s agricultural community.

In a statement following his vote, Senator Ricketts emphasized the importance of the bill for local farmers and ranchers. “This bill avoids a government shutdown and supports Nebraska’s farmers and ranchers,” he said. “It gives them the certainty and assistance they need to make crucial decisions.”

Senator Ricketts also highlighted his commitment to collaborating with President Trump and fellow lawmakers on future legislation. He stated, “I’m committed to working with President Trump and my colleagues to pass a comprehensive, five-year farm bill next year.”

The resolution reflects ongoing efforts in Washington, D.C., to ensure continuity in government operations while addressing specific sectoral needs such as agriculture.
