Senator Pete Ricketts recently took to social media to express his gratitude and share updates on his work and priorities. His posts covered topics ranging from local heroes assisting in disaster relief efforts, to team-building activities for his Senate staff, and regulatory measures concerning land purchases by foreign entities.

On July 7, 2025, Senator Ricketts acknowledged the efforts of a Nebraska-based rescue team in a tweet. He stated, “Thank you to the Nebraska Task Force One heroes who are heading to Texas to assist with flood search efforts.” The task force is set to aid in flood search operations following severe weather conditions.

The following day, on July 8, 2025, he provided insights into a recent team-building exercise undertaken by his Senate staff. He mentioned that during a retreat in Nebraska, his team participated in the CliftonStrengths assessment at Gallup’s headquarters. Ricketts emphasized the purpose of this initiative by saying, “My team’s top priority is to serve Nebraskans and renew opportunity. This assessment will help them better serve our state!”

Later that day, Senator Ricketts addressed regulatory issues involving land ownership by foreign adversaries. He expressed support for an addition to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and noted his ongoing collaboration with Senator Fetterman. Ricketts remarked, “I’m glad that @SecRollins will be joining CFIUS. @USDA needs to regulate land purchases by foreign adversaries like Communist China, especially ag land around sensitive sites.” He further highlighted their joint advocacy efforts for these regulatory changes.

Additional information for Step 3:
The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) is responsible for reviewing transactions that could result in control of a U.S. business by a foreign person or entity.
