The following day, Ricketts addressed the issue of family-owned farms in Nebraska. On August 15, 2025, he posted: “Over 80% of Nebraska farms are family-owned. The OBBB makes the Death Tax exemption permanent. It will also rise with inflation. This protects over $200 billion in hard-earned family farm assets. Now, more farms will be passed down, not taxed away to Uncle Sam.”
