Senator Pete Ricketts, United States Senator for Nebraska, recently highlighted the impact of the Working Families Tax Cuts during meetings with restaurant owners in Omaha.
On March 9, 2026, Ricketts shared his experiences from a recent roundtable: “During a roundtable with restaurant owners in Omaha last week, I heard about the benefits they’re seeing as a result of the Working Families Tax Cuts. One restaurant manager told me of a waitress whose wages were incorrectly reported.  Her W-2 reported some overtime pay as”.
The following day, he reiterated the tax policy’s effects on service workers: “At a recent roundtable in Omaha, I met with restaurant owners about how the Working Families Tax Cuts benefits their workers. No tax on tips. No tax on overtime. These Working Families Tax Cuts will put more money in your pockets.”
Later that same day, Ricketts participated in an event with Punchbowl News and Senator Angus King to discuss bipartisan approaches: “Great to join @PunchbowlNews with @SenAngusKing to discuss how former governors are pragmatic and get things done.”
