Senator Pete Ricketts has recently shared updates on his official social media account regarding meetings and events involving community organizations, public safety incidents, and industry representatives.
On July 13, 2025, Senator Ricketts met with representatives from local United Ways across Nebraska. He noted their collaboration on the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program, stating, “Great to meet with representatives from local United Ways across Nebraska. They updated me on their work with the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program—and the impact it’s had on Nebraska communities. As Governor, I brought this program to Nebraska with @UnitedWay’s help.”
Later that day, Ricketts expressed concern following an incident at Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky. He posted on July 13, 2025: “My thoughts and prayers are with the parishioners and Kentucky State Trooper who were injured today at Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington, KY. America is the land of religious freedom, and the American people should never have to fear for their lives when they go to”.
On July 14, 2025, Senator Ricketts welcomed Mr. Yoshonori Kanehana, Chairman of the Board at Kawasaki, along with other company representatives to his Washington D.C. office. He wrote: “Welcomed my friend Mr. Yoshonori Kanehana, Chairman of the Board at Kawasaki, and other representatives from @KawasakiUSA to my D.C. office. We discussed their presence in Nebraska, as well as innovation and industry advancements important to Nebraska farmers and ranchers.”
