On March 11, Ricketts congratulated a local student for military scholarship success. He wrote, “Congratulations to Issac Barber on his incredible achievement of a full-ride Marine Corps scholarship. Issac, you make Nebraska proud!”
Later that day, he acknowledged the contributions of students at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) to national security efforts. Ricketts stated on March 11: “About 50 @UNOmaha students contribute to our national security through the @DHSgov research center. 27 students are currently focused on threats from Iran, including tracking drone activity and cyber threats. NCITE does important counterterrorism work–right in the heart of”
On March 12, he recognized National Working Moms Day by citing recent legislative measures designed to assist working mothers financially. According to his post: “It’s National Working Moms Day! We passed an increase of the Child Tax Credit and made the Paid Family Leave Tax Credit permanent in the Working Families Tax Cuts, putting more money in the pockets of working moms.”
