U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) recently shared his reflections on the achievements of his office over the past year during a conference call with Nebraska media. Ricketts emphasized his commitment to addressing the concerns of Nebraskans and ensuring their voices are heard in Washington.

“I’m proud of the work my team and I have done fighting for Nebraskans,” Ricketts stated. He highlighted efforts to remain accessible, noting that he held 87 public events across Nebraska in 2024, released the “Ricketts Review” on government spending, authored 52 weekly columns, and participated in nearly 150 exclusive interviews.

Ricketts also spoke about his team’s dedication to constituent services. “Finally, I’m proud of our work to help Nebraskans navigate the federal bureaucracy,” he said. His team conducted nearly 700 outreach events throughout Nebraska this year, including Mobile Office Hours in all counties twice, assisting nearly 800 residents with accessing federal services and recovering almost $5 million owed by the government.

In terms of legislative achievements, Ricketts mentioned several bipartisan successes: banning foreign adversaries from owning apps like TikTok; passing the ADVANCE Act for nuclear energy support; transferring land back to the Winnebago Tribe; and passing a water bill aimed at improving Army Corps transparency and infrastructure resilience.

He expressed optimism about future legislation such as a Farm Bill designed to benefit Nebraska’s farmers and ranchers. “Despite Republicans being in the minority, we delivered results for Nebraska,” he remarked.

Concluding his remarks, Ricketts reaffirmed his commitment to serving Nebraskans effectively: “There’s still much work to do, and I’m just getting started.”
