Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts of Nebraska issued a statement in response to the Air India plane crash that took place in Ahmedabad, India.

Ricketts expressed his condolences and support for the victims and their families. “I want to extend my prayers and condolences to the families of the many victims who perished in the Air India plane crash that occurred last night,” he stated. He also called on Nebraskans to join him in prayer for those affected by the tragedy.

As a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Ricketts emphasized his readiness to assist Indian partners in responding to the incident and ensuring international air travel safety. “I also stand ready to support efforts to assist our Indian partners in responding to this tragedy and to ensure the safety of international air travel,” he added.
