U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts of Nebraska has expressed his support for Linda McMahon following her confirmation as the U.S. Secretary of Education. In a statement released after the vote, Ricketts emphasized the importance of empowering states and local school districts to enhance educational outcomes.

Ricketts highlighted McMahon’s experience on the Connecticut Board of Education and her 16-year tenure as a trustee at Sacred Heart University, suggesting that her background will benefit the Department of Education.

“The best way to improve educational outcomes is by empowering states and local school districts. Linda McMahon understands that,” said Ricketts. “Her record of service will be an asset to the Department of Education.”
