CITY PARKS PLAYGROUND
START OF PLAYGROUND PROJECT
MARCH 21 TO JUNE 30, 2022
NOTICE: On Monday March 21, 2022 the City Parks department began removing small items from the Legion Park Playground. This will continue into April, weather and schedules permitting, The contractor removing used equipment and the contractor installing the new equipment will begin on, or around, April 18th.
PREPARATION: April 18th to approximately June 30th, persons wishing to plan events at or near the playground should consider alternatives. North Park and the play structure at the softball field will remain open for play. A water-line that feeds the pond has to be re-routed around the playground. The new water-line will be routed along the playground parking area adjacent to the flood ditch. This water-line installation will close the playground parking area for a few days.
CAUTION: In preparation for the project launch, and the large equipment required, the City Parks crews have begun removing small items from the playground. As benches are removed, picnic tables will be located around the site for patron use. Be aware that April 18th, when the main removal and construction begins, the playground and parking lots will be fenced off and off-limits to the public.
