A group of 80 golfers, comprised of Chadron State College alumni and supporters, held the first-ever Talon Club Four Scramble at Ridgeview Country Club on July 8, during the Fur Trade festivities in Chadron. The golf benefit was launched this summer in support of CSC football.

The foursome of former Eagles head football coach Brad Smith, former football player Chapman Ham, Justin Downs of Chadron, and current offensive coordinator Micah Smith, took the team title.  Second place went to former football players Shawn Eisenreich and Joe Wild, Addison Margrave of Chadron, and Dane Rasmussen of Rapid City.

The tournament raised $9,200 for the Eagles football program.

"It was awesome to see some faces we haven't seen for a while," said CSC Head Football Coach Jay Long, "and to be able to raise funds for our program. We look forward to making this an annual thing."
