Earlier this week, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) hosted his first-ever Federal Issues Forum at the Nebraska State Fair.
“Agriculture is the heart and soul of what we do in Nebraska,” Ricketts said. “I’m grateful to the panelists who shared their expertise about the challenges and opportunities our agriculture industry is facing. I’m committed to cutting regulation and getting our farmers and ranchers what they need to prosper for generations to come.”
Monday’s event took place in the Raising Nebraska Building and included three panel discussions on Nebraska’s agriculture industry.
During the event, Ricketts also shared some of his targeted solutions to combat Washington’s spending problems. Ricketts has been discussing the need to rein in Washington’s inflated spending that is causing rising prices for Nebraska families and businesses. Attendees also received copies of the “Ricketts Review.” The report outlines why Washington spending is broken and how Ricketts is working to fix it.
