Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts expressed support for President Donald Trump's early actions during his second term. Speaking on a conference call with Nebraska media, Ricketts emphasized the significance of this period.

"President Trump’s second inauguration marks an important turning point in our country," Ricketts stated. He criticized the previous administration's policies and praised Trump's initiatives, saying, "After four years of open borders, high prices, overregulation, and weakness on the world stage, we are seeing now real leadership in the White House again."

Ricketts highlighted several measures taken by Trump since assuming office. "On day one, President Trump began delivering on these promises," he noted. According to Ricketts, Trump's actions on border security aim to protect Americans while repealing certain mandates from the previous administration could lead to greater prosperity.

He also mentioned the establishment of a Department of Government Efficiency as a step towards enhancing accountability within federal operations. "This is the change Americans voted for," Ricketts added.

During his remarks, Ricketts acknowledged contributions from Nebraskans during inauguration events. He praised Senator Deb Fischer for her role in organizing these proceedings and highlighted Nebraska beef featured at the inauguration lunch.

Senator Ricketts concluded by expressing optimism about America's future under President Trump's leadership: "I agree with President Trump. Our country’s best days are still ahead of us."
