U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts of Nebraska confirmed his support for the budget resolution passed last night in the Senate. As a member of the Senate Budget Committee, Ricketts underlined the significance of the resolution, linking it to several key policy objectives of the former administration.

In his announcement, Ricketts emphasized, “This budget resolution unlocks the reconciliation process. It is the blueprint to deliver on President Trump’s priorities." He detailed the areas impacted by the resolution, including enhancements to border security, tax policy, and national defense. "It provides a framework to finish the border wall and upgrade border technology," he said, highlighting border improvements as a primary focus.

Ricketts also expressed the resolution's economic implications, stating, “It will put us on the path to avoid a tax increase.” He underscored its role in defense funding, noting, “It lays the groundwork for critical new funding for the Department of Defense to improve readiness.”

The resolution is projected to benefit energy production within the country. Ricketts remarked, “It also will help unleash American energy production.” In his view, these measures collectively aim to deliver both prosperity and safety to the American populace.
