Through a series of posts, Ricketts commented on U.S. involvement in Ukraine, detailed funding provisions for rural hospitals under new legislation, and outlined changes to Medicaid eligibility requirements.

On July 10, 2025, Senator Ricketts commented on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, stating "The President is trying to bring peace in Ukraine—Putin is not."
