Senator Pete Ricketts, U.S. Senator for Nebraska and former Governor of the state, recently posted a series of statements on his Twitter account addressing international sanctions, environmental policy, and tax legislation.

On July 23, 2025, Ricketts commented on European actions regarding Iran, stating, "The window for France, Germany, and the U.K. to snapback tough UN sanctions against Iran is quickly closing. After years of violating its nuclear commitments, Iran doesn’t deserve more time – it deserves more pressure. I urge our European friends to snapback as soon as".

The following day, July 24, 2025, he discussed environmental policy with a federal official: "I welcomed Jim Macy, @EPA Region 7 Administrator, to my D.C. office. We discussed the implementation of President Trump’s environmental agenda in Nebraska. Jim did a great job as Director of Energy and Environment when I was Governor. I look forward to working with him in his".

Later that day, Ricketts highlighted the impact of recent tax legislation on Nebraskan families: "It’s rare to have the opportunity to set an entire nation on a better course for generations. Ricketts has previously served as Governor of Nebraska before being elected to the U.S. Senate. His posts reference ongoing debates about international nuclear agreements—specifically concerns over Iran's compliance—and recent changes in U.S. tax law affecting families in his home state.
