Senator Pete Ricketts has recently shared a series of posts on his social media account, covering topics ranging from sports and international affairs to childcare policy.

On August 3, 2025, Senator Ricketts announced the upcoming season opener for Nebraska’s football team: “It’s time to start the countdown! @HuskerFootball will kick off its 2025 football season at Arrowhead Stadium against the Cincinnati Bearcats. GO BIG RED!”

Later that day, he addressed ongoing events in the Middle East, writing: “My prayers are with Evyatar David and the remaining hostages held by Hamas. There can be no peace until Hamas is destroyed or surrenders.”

The following morning, on August 4, 2025, Senator Ricketts highlighted results from a recent poll conducted by the University of Nebraska’s Buffett Early Childhood Institute and the Bipartisan Policy Center. He stated: “Per a @u_nebraska’s Buffett Early Childhood Institute and Bipartisan Policy Center recent poll, 75% of Nebraskans said accessing affordable childcare is a serious challenge. The OBBB gives expanded tax credits to businesses to provide childcare. A big win for Nebraska families.” According to national research and local studies, many families in Nebraska have reported difficulties securing affordable childcare options.

Senator Pete Ricketts represents Nebraska in the U.S. Senate and frequently uses his platform to discuss state issues such as college sports and family policies, as well as broader international concerns.
