On August 15, 2025, Ricketts emphasized the importance of agriculture to Nebraska and noted presidential support for expanding international markets. He stated, "Agriculture is the heart and soul of what we do in Nebraska. @POTUS is committed to opening new markets abroad for American agriculture products. This will benefit Nebraska’s farmers and ranchers."

The following day, August 16, 2025, Ricketts commented on the impact of recent federal legislation concerning clean fuel incentives: "The 45Z clean fuel production credit in the OBBB is a major win for Nebraska. Biofuels are a win-win-win. A win for consumers who save money at the pump, the environment, and for our farmers and ranchers." The 45Z tax credit aims to encourage domestic production of cleaner fuels by providing financial incentives to producers.
