Senator Pete Ricketts, representing Nebraska in the U.S. Senate, marked Labor Day and recent state events through a series of posts on his social media account in early September 2025.
On September 1, 2025, Senator Ricketts posted a message recognizing workers across Nebraska: "Happy Labor Day! Today we celebrate all hardworking Nebraskans, from farmers and ranchers to our law enforcement. Thank you for all you do for our great state!"
The following day, he highlighted a sports achievement by the University of Nebraska's volleyball team. On September 2, 2025, he wrote: "Husker faithful got a great gift over the Labor Day weekend: a reverse sweep by @HuskerVB. Nebraska Volleyball is #1 in the nation for a reason! Congrats ladies!"
Later that same day, Senator Ricketts acknowledged his colleague Senator Joni Ernst’s service as she prepared to leave the Senate. He stated on September 2, 2025: "It’s been an honor to serve in the Senate the past two and a half years with @SenJoniErnst. Wishing her the best in her future endeavors. She is a patriot, combat veteran, and stalwart advocate for her state. I am grateful to have gotten to know her and will miss her friendship."
Senator Pete Ricketts was appointed to the U.S. Senate in January 2023 after serving as Governor of Nebraska from 2015 to 2023.
