Senator Pete Ricketts, currently serving as a U.S. Senator from Nebraska and former governor of the state, posted several updates on social media between September 6 and September 8, 2025, sharing personal and professional experiences.

On September 6, Ricketts commented on an upcoming football game in Lincoln, stating, "Excited to see the Cornhuskers play under the lights in Lincoln!

Beat Akron tonight! #GoBigRed". The following day, he congratulated the team on their performance with another post: "Great win last night by @HuskerFootball. Let’s keep it rolling next week against Houston Christian. GO BIG RED!" (September 7).

In a tweet dated September 8, Ricketts reflected on his experiences with media interviews during his tenure as both governor and senator. He wrote: "Part of being Governor, and now Senator, of Nebraska means doing lots of interviews. But I specifically had fun interviewing with Susan Littlefield with the American Ag Network at the NE State Fair last week!

I had the chance to help show one of her family’s Rambouillet rams at https://t.co/ekjeXl8DTZ".

Ricketts' references to attending events such as the Nebraska State Fair and participating in interviews reflect his continued engagement with local communities and agricultural organizations. As a U.S. Senator for Nebraska since 2023 and previously serving as governor from 2015 to 2023, Ricketts has maintained strong ties to state traditions like supporting Husker athletics and engaging in agricultural outreach.
