Senator Pete Ricketts, representing Nebraska in the U.S. Senate, recently addressed several topics on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, including government efficiency, rural health investment, and the significance of Constitution Day.

On September 16, 2025, Senator Ricketts commented on the state of government operations in Washington. He wrote, "Nebraskans know that government should be effective and efficient. But in Washington, the gears are stuck. @SenateDems are blockading the nominations process to stop this administration from getting America back on track. @SenateGOP is voting this week to stop the obstruction."

Later that day, he highlighted federal support for rural health care in Nebraska through a new program. According to his post on September 16, 2025: "The OBBB supports rural health in Nebraska, investing in outcomes now and for future generations. Starting this week, states can apply for the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) program to receive part of the $50B allocated for rural health care in the OBBB. That’s 50% more" The announcement reflects ongoing federal efforts to improve access to healthcare services and infrastructure in rural communities.

On September 17, 2025, Senator Ricketts marked Constitution Day by referencing a historical quote and emphasizing constitutional values: "As John Adams wrote, the United States is ‘a government of laws and not of men.’ Our Constitution has withstood the test of time. Since its signing in 1787, the U.S. Constitution has served as the enduring foundation of our democratic republic. On Constitution Day, we celebrate" This statement comes as Americans annually observe Constitution Day on September 17th to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787.

Senator Pete Ricketts previously served as Governor of Nebraska before being elected to represent Nebraska in the U.S. Senate.
