Senator Pete Ricketts, who represents Nebraska in the U.S. Senate, recently used his social media platform to comment on state events, national politics, and the legacy of a former vice president.

On November 3, 2025, Ricketts posted about attending a local event in Broken Bow: "Great being in Broken Bow for the 65th annual Nebraska One Box Pheasant Hunt! Nebraska’s resources are fantastic for sportsmen and hunters! https://t.co/PJ4UXM8yef".

The following day, on November 4, he commented on ongoing political negotiations in Washington: "We just need five more Democrats to show some courage and reject their far-left base. We need five more Democrats to say they care more about people than about political leverage. We need five more Democrats to join the three Democrats who are already with us.

That’s all we need https://t.co/GGuFy5z8us".

Also on November 4, Senator Ricketts paid tribute to former Vice President Dick Cheney: "Today, America honors Dick Cheney's life of service. Born in Lincoln, NE and a son of Wyoming, Vice President Cheney represented his state and country with commitment and courage. He served at nearly every level of government, from congressional and White House aide all the way".

Senator Pete Ricketts has served as Nebraska's junior senator since 2023 after previously holding office as governor. The Nebraska One Box Pheasant Hunt is an annual event that draws sportsmen from across the state and highlights outdoor recreation opportunities unique to Nebraska. Dick Cheney, mentioned by Ricketts in his post on November 4, was born in Lincoln but spent much of his career representing Wyoming; he held numerous roles including White House Chief of Staff under President Ford and later served two terms as Vice President under George W. Bush.
