The Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees had a regular business meeting June 16 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Several items were approved during the meeting, including employee salary recommendations, an election of board officers and facilities corp officers, and revisions to policies.

Selected items that were approved include the college entering into a 5-year retail store operations agreement with Reeves, Inc., based in Chadron, and the approved use of $24,000 of unappropriated cash funds for the track and field stadium project. The board also approved an interlocal agreement with the City of Chadron Police Department for three years, beginning Aug. 1. The agreement provides a College Resource Officer assigned to campus.

The Board of Trustees also voted to not raise tuition at the Nebraska State Colleges for the 2022-23 academic year, and approved the undergraduate resident rate for non-residents. This means non-residents will now pay the in-state rate, which is $186 a credit hour.

At the end of the meeting, the Board reviewed information items, such as reports on promotion and tenure, personnel actions, construction reports, occupancy and income reports, and grant applications and awards.
