Senator Pete Ricketts has used his social media platform to highlight legislative efforts and community inspiration related to veterans and agriculture in Nebraska.

On November 12, 2025, Ricketts posted, "As we commemorate veterans this week, I am working hard in the Senate to deliver for our heroic veterans:".

Later that day, he added a message emphasizing the importance of honoring those who served: "Our veterans fought for us. We should fight for them. Let’s take inspiration from the North Platte Canteen. Let’s thank our veterans for their honorable service. Let’s listen to their stories. And let’s honor them." The post referenced the North Platte Canteen, a notable World War II volunteer effort where Nebraskans provided food and support to passing soldiers.

In another tweet on November 12, 2025, Ricketts discussed legislative action affecting Nebraska: "This bipartisan package delivers for Nebraska. It extends critical farm bill authorities and supports agricultural research at the University of Nebraska.  It helps fight against the New World Screwworm.  It also delivers funding to support critical missions at Offutt Air Force". The University of Nebraska is a key institution in agricultural research in the state, while Offutt Air Force Base plays a significant role as home to U.S. Strategic Command.

Veterans Day is observed annually on November 11 across the United States as a federal holiday dedicated to honoring military veterans.
