On Veterans Day, Ricketts posted: "Happy Veterans Day, Nebraska! Today, we honor the brave women and men who have made great sacrifices to protect our freedoms. Continuing his focus on veteran-related policy, Ricketts detailed legislative proposals in two posts on November 12, 2025. He stated: "I introduced the bipartisan Tax Cuts for Veterans Act to eliminate the federal tax on military retirement benefits. I am a cosponsor of the Major Richard Star Act to provide combat-injured veterans with less than 20 years of military service their full benefits. In addition," (November 12, 2025).
In another post published moments later, he added: "I introduced the bipartisan CARING for Our Veterans Health Act to improve information-sharing between community care providers and VA medical centers. These posts reflect ongoing legislative activity at both state and national levels focused on supporting U.S. military veterans through expanded health care access and improved benefits policies.
